Take a dip, while the rest of Seoul buzzes by below.
The restrained and beautiful lobby at night.
The Good:
1. Eggs Benedict. The EB here is probably the second best I have had. The best is still from Let's Sea Huahin.
2. The spa to relax at after a tummy filling breakfast or your long haul flight. Hot pool, cold pool or sauna?
3. The sight of the city, its buses, cars, denizens rumbling below on the streets, while you unwind your late morning away.
4. Good professional service, they are supposed to behave like efficient little robots, on-call for 24 hours.
The Bad:
1. The wifi is not free. Not everyone is a on corporate travel with an account to sign against.
The Ugly:
None actually.
The Guests:
Business travellers and that of an older demographic.

PARK HYATT. The very mentioned of these 2 words bring to mind Sofia Coppola's Lost In Translation. Hence, one more readily associates the Park Hyatt brand with their Tokyo franchise. I do pin for the day when I step into Park Hyatt Tokyo lobby.
All said, Park Hyatt Seoul is no pushover. PHS pulls its weight with attentive service, a good breakfast (delicious Eggs Benedict) and stunning city views. The Park Club for worn corporate travellers is an oasis of distilled calm above the Korean clouds. I dare say PHS is one of the best urban hotel experiences, even though they charge for WIFI.
